Most of this place pissed me off by being too absent of light for photography, but a couple spots, like this one, let just enough through to be artistic gems of decay.

Some nice shoots.
You need a lightweight tripod.
I replaced the lame head on an old Slik tripod with a Manfrotto ball head. The thing folds up small enough to stick in my bag and weighs less than two pounds. It will handle most of my gear up to my Crown Graphic. Makes a world of difference when spelunking old buildings.

Yeah, I have a "lightweight" Manfrotto tripod with a ball head but even it is just too bulky for my tastes. My buddy Weylyn has a Slik that is much better suited to being carried around. Travelling light is part of my operational ideology anyway - MFT camera with 2 primes and a small, light tripod. Only I would love to get one smaller...
