I have to say something now, about Nexus. In my opinion the synth you're using for quite a while is way too dominating and doesn't integrate into the chilling atmosphere of this and some other tracks at all. Actually I never liked it to begin with, but that's another story.
What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't heavily use it in anything calm as it can really harm the nature of the song by making it TRANCE ALL THE WAY so to say.
This track as an example: the first 30 seconds are quite chilling, and then all of a sudden it goes all like HELL YEAH NEXUS to picture my way of taking it in.
I'd like to hear some works without the use of that screaming synth again. That's not supposed to sound like a request, though.

Oh, I do have works without it, I just use that type of synth a lot because I love that sound. As for the song, I can see what you're saying, and that would certainly apply to it except that, simply put, this is not chill out, it's an uplifting trance tune. Some of my chill out works I'm working on certainly don't use these types of leads at all. My point is it's trance, and it's not meant to be calm but full of energy, hence the lead.
But uplifting uses some rather long fades to into their full sound, while your's are quite sudden most of the time - from "wait... wait... wait........" to BOOM while songs I just had to look up at youtube are taking your hand and guide you to that moment. And even though it's trance I think it pops out too much, it easily drownes everything else.
I don't think it drowns out anything; it's meant to be the next focal point of the song, the background is meant to simply compliment it, nothing more. As for what most other songs do, I'm different; I don't follow the crowd, I make what I want to make and not what the majority like to listen to, if that makes sense. tl;dr I'm happy with the finished product and don't plan on changing anything.
I'm unable to describe how happy I am to have helped you, really I am! I hope to produce more tracks, though music production will slow down when I start nursing school... I'll be studying the books before I even start the couse, but it will still be hard... bah, I'm so nervous!
lol Well, it's only because I've sorta been there. The things you need to know for the CNA class is basically introduction to nursing. It's everything I had to learn in NUR 101 clinicals.... like taking vital signs and how to properly give a bedbath. lol You learn all that as a CNA. Meaning that when you get to your first clinical you'll already know most of it. It'll just be an issue of focusing on the rest of the information that's new. lol But you'll have SUCH a leg up.
