Way before anyone had even thought about creating the first Sonic recolor, Sega was already churning them out by the truckload...
Also, Sonic Underground was a very bad, bad thing.
At least it had a kinda good-ish intro, I guess.

sonic underground had inconsistant scenes, annoying songs that got stuck in your head, and useless villains nowhere near as good as scratch and grounder.
however, some things i thought were cool were the instruments that transformed from medalions, and the introduction of sonic's mother.
and robotnik....just a sonic version of hitler....sooo bad...

I like my Sonic as enigmatic and open-to-interpretation as possible... Somehow, origin stories kinda ruin it for me. And of course any 80's-90's child would just adore the idea of transformable instruments/weapons, it's totally rad. :P
The songs never put any dents on me, I think my brain just shrugged them off as soon as I heard them. x.x

I just saw the show a few times before work. It just seemed like it was trying to be an 80's action show, but it fell short and landed in Kid Video range... Kid Video was better though...

Sonic Underground while a bit stupid is nothing when you factor in Sonic X. And at least it had the right mind to take heavy influence from SatAM the best interpretation of the franchise. Plus, Sonia's just friggin' hot! have you seen her attire in Jewel in the Crown's song?
