Critique:
The use of negative space doesn't work, the scene is boring.
I don't think I see enough of the trunk to be interested. There is a lack of a subject to get interested into, maybe even a small one, like a bird or something that you have to find in the scene, or a hint the dots are fireflies and not stars or dirt.
