i just had to put one of my hedgies to sleep this past friday :(

Aw. :/ What happened, or was it just old age? And how many others do you have?

He had papiloma virus. So he got moles all over his legs tail and face. But they started overtaking his legs and tail to the point where you couldnt tell they were legs. Each monthh id take him to the vet to monitor the moles. Last month he started on anti inflamitories because he stopped running on his wheel. All he was doing was eating and sleeping. On thursday he unrolled for a sec to let me peak at his legs... parts of the moles were turning black and smelled awful... his skin was starting to.rot off because the blood couldnt circulate to the growths. Its all been really sad. He was the best hedgie... so friendly, he always had his quills down and loved when you gave him nose kisses. But towards the.end he kept getting huffier and huffier he started not wanting to be bothered and was really sensitive when ppl walked by.him. but anyways... i have one other hedgie, hes albino and his name is beaker :)

My boyfriend's first hedgehog (a few years ago) was an albino male named Caltrops. Archimedes is my first and Nick's second.

Is it fun to pet?

It's a bit painful if the quills are stuck up. XD Normally it feels kind of like petting a bristle brush.
