Giving land and a title to someone so they will leave only works with a person who's word can be bought off with land and a title.

Though Rossweisse wanted a good paying job for her skills, I gather that she holds her word far more higher then that. I agree with The_Mole, she isn't going anywhere while still employed be the princess. Though would Eudokia and Romanos really send her over there to get Rossweisse to go there?

It's not like this is a large estate being given, it's a decent farm, but certainly not wealth and luxury. And even if it were, the only way Rossweisse will leave is if Theodora releases her from her contract. But, she can always hang onto ownership of the property until then, or send Jori down to sell/lease it.

The title on the other hand will probably appeal to Rossweisse. She's very caste conscious. Valkyries are minor nobility in Asgrad, about equal to a knight, and now she has an Earthly minor nobility title to justify her attitude while she's in exile here.

As for the dress, that's a different matter...

Rossweisse needn't leave to except these gifts. The part about her caste conscious strikes me as truer then anything else, she's defending higher nobility and know has a spiffy title closer to what she had before her temporary banishment. She's practically back in the exact position before that whole mess that got her sent here.

Eudokia plan here sounds like something that is more like stroking Rossweisse caste conscious mind. *Snerk* Maybe someone should tell Eudokia that you don't feed a stray to make it go away.

Though that dress and comment at the end does sound like a low blow.
