I felt like drawing some Raes tonight, not sure why. The only one I didn’t get to was Tal’Mok, but I’ll draw her tomorrow. I don’t know what it is about Reo-Raxians, but they are just so much fun to draw. I think part of it is because their design is still left in the open. Next I want to figure out what Reo-Raxians wear. I can imagine them wearing loose robes or something.

So yeah here is Kaj’Rem and the first sketches of Jem’Nor. I wanted her to be young, sweet, a little naive, kind, compassionate, and “in the prime of her years.” Kaj’Rem on the other hand is scruffy, “wasn’t born yesterday,” seasoned, older, stubborn, more aggressive than the others, and protective. Tal’Mok is the old, wise, and careful one. Between the three of them, there is a good mix of traits. Jem’Nor’s childish and green outlook on things can be useful. She can see solutions that the other two don’t. Kaj’Rem likes to think of himself as the protector of the planet, he would do anything, even place his life on the line to protect it and it’s people. Tal’Mok has been around for a while, she knows what’s going on and she can usually predict other’s actions.

I am loving the development of my characters and their home. It’s so fun to learn about them as I create their world. Writing about them is going to be fun.
