I got some 16g 5/16 mostly, and a little bit of 16g 1/4 and 3/8. :)

I bet it would. I'm thinking maybe the 3/8 and 1/4 might work for it, as that's the normal sizes for dragonscale. :O gonna have to try it.

mmm i think i was playing with 3/8 and 1/4 with normal rings and having trouble. just remember you might have to go a bit looser than normal to get square to work proper

Yes, true. My normal dragonscales are fairly flexible. I'll have to experiment.

i can add a ring for a leash, but the square wire is only in steel

Couple of different ways to change the colors... You might be able to color-case harden them (you end up with sort of random blue and yellow) or use a bluing solution... basically boil them in a solution of certain metal salts that change them to a dark blue or black, depending on which and how hard.

It's a form of protection used to keep things like guns from rusting, by sort of anodizing them in a pre-rust.
