When we got our permit, we weren't allowed to keep them without having a door for them to come and go as they pleased. They also couldn't keep the second generation, so there were stipulations when we got them.

Well, it's technically illegal in the state. We tried to give them to multiple places, but they said they're required by law to put them down if they ever get those certain animals in. So, we went through hell getting some permits to keep them, bahaha.

that bites... i can see how you would need a permit for certain critters because keeping them as pets would be close to animal cruelty but putting them down? thats really sad :T

I think it would be more effective if they did that to the fur farmers.

If you put a "tamed" animal to sleep, per se, then it makes it harder for people to get a hold of other animals.

Raccoon Willie is a poor li'l thing who is mistreated by his keepers. :c Raccoons ain't supposed to be pets forever. ._.

Um lol... Raccoon Willie:

A. Had one keeper.
B. Was not mistreated, although the man played a little rough...raccoons are tough though, and this taught him fighting skills;
as, the videos reveal that Raccoon Willie didn't take crap and hurt the guy on more than one occasion--he was not punished for this btw ;)
C. He was/is not a pet forever. He was rescued by Damygeebo and raised to adulthood and released. While being filmed growing up, his owner taught him stuff such as fishing for minnows--to prepare him for his future release.
Raccoon Willie willfully returns to his former owner's house to play after months of being vanished XD That's why the videos are so rare now.
D. I wouldn't be a fan of an abuser to animals. And remember, lack of research harvests ideas that are solely biased and non-factual; ideas taken by other people who disagree with something because of anything and then make up stuff to gain a pitiful internet debate-alliance. ! :D
And ya know? I wrestle with my dog and scare her with hoses and stuff just because that is what I do, and our bond is quite strong and love-filled.

Had a raccoon pup. He had been injured and neighbor's nursed him before turning him back out, but he loved me.
Would dash from the woods and climb up my side to sit on my shoulder like a parrot. Miss him.
