here is my persona character antique (or just lamb is fine too)
she's straight up just me... as a sheep :I same body type/height/weight, same hair, same clothing style, same dumb legs that bruise for no reason. the only difference is the eye color, I changed hers to yellow so you could see her sheepy pupils since my eyes are too dark for them to look good. otherwise the sheep part of her design is taken from the pet/companion of a character of mine I created in 2007.
I hope the clothing part of the ref is clear enough to those who may not be familiar with the particular styles mentioned, when in doubt just stick her in a cream dress & pile some roses, pearls, & feathers on it and you're good. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS OVERDRESSED. 8) seriously, she is pretty much always decked out.
she has a character profile on nabyn that is a bit more in depth with everything on this sheet as well as some info on her personality and hobbies and stuff.
oh and it's completely fine to draw her with a more human-like face if that's your style/preference. c: and her two tattoos are there for the sake of being consistent with my own appearance, but they don't necessarily have to be included, I sometimes leave them off myself.
edit 12/19/12: edit for the new year! I refined a lot on the main views + headshot and enlarged and redrew the majority of the outfit examples, plus added a close up of my hamsa necklace she always wears for fun (and pretty much to fill in blank space haha). absolutely nothing about her design has changed, save for my/her hair growing longer since then. c:

I don't think you have any idea how fucking amazing this is, do you? Well I'll tell you how amazing it is for you, then. Look! It is new art from you that is you that is fucking awesome and adorable as all hell. I LOVE that you went with the sheep design for yourself, totally works and makes sense. And ok, can be drawn as fluffy or not fluffy as per user desire? HOLY FUCK. There is going to be fluff EVERYWHERE!!! ....I think you, and only you, may be able to get me out of this art rut I've been in for fucking years.
It is so inspiring to see your work again. I know that sounds corny as hell but girl, you know I love you and always have and seeing this part of you again is just incredible to me. God I sound so gay. It's really cool to see how we've grown over the years, even through our characters and their dress/design/etc. you know what I mean. It's like, the colors have changed and she has grown more refined but you still have the accessories, the creativity, the YOU in there that was always unique to your style. And the little bruises and bandaids and those legs... I bruise all the time too, I'm like dude wtf massive bruise here on my leg when did this happen?
I really do love the clothing, and the accessories. I also must reiterate how much I adore the idea of her being customizable with short, fluffy, sheared just omfg... dude... you have no idea.
And just.... SHEEPYS OK. SO FLUFFY ALWAYS. (I still forever love Kiley I don't care ok)
*rolls on* I have just gotten off a very stressful and shitty 13 hour shift and I am very sleep deprived. Sorry if this is uh... all over the place. Look! My comments are still as long and rambly as always. Some things don't change, I guess.

you get those random bruises too? what the heck is up with that. I can be clumsy but def not enough to have 5+ bruises on my legs all the time no matter what. they rarely hurt either, they're just... there. hangin out.
I'm glad you like the sheepy! <3 I have no idea why I never went with a sheep way back when I decided I didn't want to use the coon anymore, they've only been my favorite animal forever geez. it was fun being a sheltie with you instead though :p and yep, AS FLUFFY AS YOU WANT! her whole torso could pretty much be a giant puff ball of magical wool. *3*

THis character is gorgeous. I love sheep and you really got the details so realistically, really has all the awkward elegance of an actual sheep in the facial structure, and that austere quality they tend to have in their eyes.

I have watched myself coming back to this character day after day since I first realized it existed and HOLY CRAP. ;~; I love the little freckles all over her face and I love her puff of a tail. My God, I'd forgotten how much I loved your work and I can't believe how far you've come over the years. I love how absolutely unique her hooves are... and I love how you draw sheep eyes. ALSO I'M GLAD TO KNOW YOU AND JOLYN GET THOSE DAMNED BRUISES TOO, BECAUSE WTF. >|
I'm finally getting comfortable drawing females... and I think I'm definitely going to be drawing her in the near future... I've lost my drawing anything delicate in favor for big bulky forms and gorey messes... so I think it's going to be a wonderful change.

I enjoy her mass array of accessories. Are either (or both) of those bracelets on her wrists the type with different saints/religious figures on each piece?
Her ears and the teeny tiny bow on her undies are for some reason the two parts of this that stick out the most. All in all - the entire ref is very elegant/ornate. I like it.

oh gosh don't worry about sizes! the thing about mori girl is that it is more based on colors, themes, and layers/how you put your outfit together rather than being a fashion like lolita that has a strong focus on wearing clothing made by japanese brands. the guidelines for the style are much looser and more about just looking like a whimsical forest girl than about wearing any specific brand of clothing... a lot of the stuff I use in my mori outfits is just bought at places like h&m, forever21, various thrift and vintage stores, or handmade by me or saturnine. if you are interested in the style I'd recommend peeking through the mori girl livejournal community http://morigirls.livejournal.com/profile it has lots of outfit photos from people, tips for flattering all different body types, craft ideas, and lots of other pretty stuff to look at. <3

i can't stop going through your gallery the details you put into things is incredible ;~; i especially love this character bc i love love loveee mori/natural kei (i have a character who'd draw in that kind of style but uGH i cant w/ clothes anymore) i love your old colourful styled things too but this is really nice to see, it's so refined and different from other anthro styled things! i kinda want to take a shot at drawing this character but i hardly draw anthro anymore and im about to throw up from gushing
