This is a real-life replica of the necklace worn by Heather Kowalski (Tiliquain) in the comic "The Tishen Transformation." I made it with silver filled wire and a labradorite stone.
Silver filled wire is just very heavily silver-plated wire-- the plating takes up so much of the wire that it's kind of like silver wire filled with another metal. It's cheaper than pure silver but lasts a lot longer than regular silver-plated stuff; the silver doesn't wear off.
I love the labradorite stone; it just looks so magic, the way it catches the light like an iridescent feather or butterfly wing.
