When I wrote Gemini's tryout scene, I needed some quick heroes for him to fight and came up with this guy as one right off the top of my head. I've refined his costume a bit and was really surprised when someone commissioned a comic and requested he play a small part in it.
What is up with the stat block? It's from the RPG game Mutants & Masterminds which is a pretty cool game. I have not put in all the details such as point costs and those that play the game will recognize that Celcius is not balanced in a lot of ways which I kind of like.
Got questions about the stats? I'll try and answer them and if you like this format, I'll do some additional characters this way.
Celcius first appeared in the main Zodiac comic and later in the Second Chances comic with Saurus

Normally I dislike pandas, but this one is pretty cool. And again, just like with Bi-Polar, not the usual build we see for that specific kind of bear, which is interesting. I like the mix of both ice and fire powers, the suit, and the hero name. And by gosh, with that kind of story, it makes sense that he's a loner by nature and comes across as hostile. Everything his dad-gone-mad made him go through, the poor guy's gotta be traumatized, I really do feel sorry for him.
From what you describe, you do make him sound like he's a good guy by nature and yet the trauma his father inflicted on him affects him hard. That makes for a very intriguing character, one I hope we can see get time in the limelight and explored further, and it's a bummer he's not amongst the main cast or even a recurring character. Again, I know Gemini's got to do with the story in regards to Saggitarius and all, but Bi-Polar and especially Celsius here sound far more interesting, and actually likeable, so it's a bummer he took their chances at being on the team.
I really hope we get the chance to meet both Bi-Polar and Celsius much better someday, they're truly intriguing and well designed.
