Around 1984, Hughes Aircraft in their infinite wisdom sent me to Cape Canaveral as a test engineer prior to a shuttle launch of one of our satellites.

While down there, I was attending an informal "party" hosted at house co-rented by several of the technicians and assembly people.

Over towards the back of the yard, we heard one of the tenants little dogs yapping followed by "Snap", silence and a large body moving through water.

Awkward silence while everyone is trying really hard NOT to laugh at what just happened.

That thing is Ammit, the devourer. Whenever Anubis judges a soul/heart and it is heavy of guilt, then it gets fed to Ammit.
