I took a fox for Astérix because I wanted to take some animal that would live in those parts, fits his personality and size, and not in the least because this is promotional art for the convention, and furries happen to like foxes.
Ceasar is a cheetah because well... the chairmain of the convention is Cheetah :P

Minor critique: The horse's head is a little too realistic for Uderzo's style.
(Bet you don't get told you're making something too realistic very often. )
This is really well done. I really like Asterfox' design, and the character interaction is very nice, especially how he's dominating the situation despite being short and standing on the ground.

True, though it varies a bit per book. I went more by the older style, since his older inks (less loose and with thicker outlines) are easier for me to imitate than his later style with very thin lines. I think I could've made it a bit more elongated (that is, the muzzle, and the whole appearance of the horse). What can I say... I'm only trying to imitate a master! :P
OMG This is priceless! you have the Asterix style NAILED and julius Caeser makes a perfect Cheetah , and of course the little gaul needs to be a fox. This is excellent. So what is the theme for this years' Eurofurence? (And is this going to be in those fruity colors the Asterix Albums were in?) I tried drawing in that style once. it's haaaard to do. especially with those "sharp enough to cut your fingers on" inks. beautiful job.

Fish fight? Il est pas frais, mon poisson ?
It's impressive how you get the expressions across even when turning the characters into furries - I could recognize César in a heartbeat. I'm also astounded by the horse, which not only looks great, but also screams "Uderzo". Very well done.
