Im super pleased with Saffys tutu
*************
Saffy stood there, her lip visibly trembling with the looming threat of a severe temper tantrum. All around her other toddlers and young kids wobbled around trying to grasp the very basic moves that they had been shown by their teacher Ms Fiona, but Saffy stood there, arms folded, refusing to join in. She wasnt like all the other children here, she shouldn't be here. She was 25 not some stupid toddler.
She looked at some of the other girls giggling and her heart melted a little. Well maybe she did want to join in a little, but she held to her adult pride and turned her gaze to the floor.
A shadow fell over her and she turned her eyes up to look at the teacher who smiled gently down on the regressed adult.
"Whats the matter Saffy? Why aren't you joining in with the others? Do you need me to show you the steps again little one?"
Saffy blushed being refered to as 'little one' and shook her head. She was actually quite scared of trying the steps just incase she COULDN'T do them. Back when she had been 25 everything had been so easy but now that she was around 2 every tiny little thing was bordering on mission impossible.
"Are you wet? Do you need a diaper change?"
Saffy shook her head even more violently, her heart pounding in her chest feeling mortified that, THAT subject had even been brought up within earshot of some of the other girls who were bordering on being potty trained.
"Then whats the problem? It's okay, you can tell me."
The teacher coaxed gently. Saffy looked down at her outfit and over at the other kids. She knew that the teacher had been told about her regression problem because Saffy had been there when her mom had explained to Ms Fiona all about her 'condition.'
Saffy looked up with her big green eyes.
"All..the other kids will laff at me. 'Cause i'm diffrent" She said in a hushed whisper.
Ms Fiona chuckled lightly.
"You look just as sweet and adorable as the next cub Saffy, unless you tell anyone your little secret none of the children here will know."
Saffy blushed, not knowing if this was a good or bad thing. She wanted to join in, but in doing so she would be admitting she was just like all the other tots at the dance class.
A paw suddenly rested on her shoulder and Saffys head snapped up to look at the teacher.
"Saffy. I'm sure you'll be a wonderful dancer. You want to dance, don't you?" The teacher smiled kindly.
Slowly, ever so slowly, and with the faintest of smiles, Saffy gave the tiniest of nods.

Gosh I can't believe I missed this until now, so it'll probably only sweetie Gem that even knows there is a comment to read here, might as well make it a great one.
Firstly the picture, gosh that is really amazing, the way the tutu's fabric looks so realistic, very much how they actually look and I adore Feef's socks and dance shoes the way they hang to her body is just perfect, really well observed.
Then there's this amazing story, just spot on perfectly Fiona, teasing, embarrassing but in a good and positive almost loving way.
I'm sorry I didn't get to see this sooner, but i'm glad I did, it totally made my day.
