Two old friends out for a stroll through a spring meadow. A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk, then Megan spots the flowers and stops for a quick snack while Logan watches with an amused smile.
This is a bit of a late Christmas present for my dear friend loganberrybunny For as long as I've known him he has always enjoyed exploring the world around his home, wandering out to watch the local wild rabbits or to take some really beautiful photographs. He's one of the few people I know who takes a genuine pleasure in the natural world and I wanted to get a little something done for him in honor of that.
What's more, I've really come to look up to him as a sort of big brother over the years. He has always been there with advice or a kind word and he's someone I admire very much. That's why Megan is there, to play the part of the silly little sister.
Besides, a walk through a meadow just isn't any fun unless you get to see at least one rabbit at play, right?

The idea of having them walk through a big, sunny field just seemed to perfect to me to pass up. I don't get out and around nearly as much as Logan does, but it's something I've always enjoyed as well, and I know it's always more fun to share a day like that with company. *Grins* His expression really is perfect, too, I think. I just described it to the artist as "gentle amusement" and she really hit it right on the head. So to speak.
Awwww. *hugs* Thank you ever so much! =:D I do like that expression on my face -- a sort of "ah well,l what did I expect?" feeling. Naturally I made sure we walked somewhere with no rare flowers, so Megan is welcome to as many of them as she likes! One day I hope we can do something like this for real... though you may have to put up with a bit of chocolate. That said, I know of one brand that sells orange & geranium flavour chocolate -- best of both worlds! =;)
But thank you so much again, and I really am happy and grateful for this. I'll make sure I post it up on my own gallery as soon as I have time, which should be later on today. (And go and thank the artist too, of course.)

*Hugs* You're very welcome, and I'm so glad you like it! I really like their expressions, too. I decided to go with this artist in part because she is so good at capturing the right sorts of expressions and emotions in her art, and I think she hit what I was looking for perfectly. Which is good, because it was really important to me that this one be right. *Grins* It was very kind of you to pick a place to walk where Megan wouldn't get into trouble, and it does look like a wonderful place to walk. I do hope we can walk together like this for real sometime, too. I promise not to really stop to eat the flowers, though the geranium and orange chocolate does sound really interesting.
