During the start of the 2000's, a trial struck Alabama hard and took people by surprise about a man who was accused of 3 counts of offense outside the county of Birmingham. Although he was the driver, he was counted for Conspiracy of the crime and was sentenced to the maximum prison life.
Instead of telling the detail in hand, I took some of the final statement and made it to poetry. Kirk Barrow, the dedicatee and also a graduate of UAB, was in the courtroom when he heard the case, but didn't want to give me the full details respectively. I asked to make it a poem in support of those accused of the same respect, and he gladly accepted, only in advice to let people know just how crooked the judicial system sometimes is.
I was a juror myself, and I know how hard it is to make decisions like these.
