Today happens to be Lei-Lani's birthday! I've always loved themes of the ocean, and I think this is the first time I've ever drawn an otter. This lovely lady was a perfect opportunity to display both. She and her housemate have been a tremendous help in the refining of my novel, so this kind of acts as a double-occasion gift

Thanks! I'm glad to hear that.
I haven't talked to him for a while, though I do see him posting elsewhere from time to time. I'm not sure whether he's coming back soon or not, but I doubt he's forgotten about anything here :)

Heh, and that's good to hear about drawing more ocean scenes. They're wonderful themes, and I really ought to draw more, especially considering how many aquatic species I have on my roster.
