My suggestion with the choral parts to make them less static is to put in a different vibrato on each voice so they don't sound pitch perfect. You can do this with a simple VST pitchshift after the tuning. The amplitude of the vibrato will be adjustable through the song so you can turn it up for the choral parts and down for the lyrics.
