I'm going to try to go snowboarding for the first time this season this weekend. I've wanted to pay respects to my best friend,  athus, on a few of my snowboards.

I always wanted to take Athus snowboarding. He knew how much I loved it. I've never been a very good dragonkin, but I always felt like I was flying when I was snowboarding. I wanted to share that with Athus so badly, but it just never worked out.

I wrote it on the noses of these two boards so that I would always see it...unless I'm riding switch...which I do often XD

I took him up to the mountain one day while my dad was visiting. My home mountain was Sierra at Tahoe at the time, and my favorite toy was the superpipe. Athus didn't have a good jacket so I let him borrow my old Burton 6/4 down puffy jacket (which I still have XD). My dad took a photo of us together on the superpipe wall. I still have that photo. That was 8-9 years ago. Like I said, I always wanted to take him snowboarding, but that was the closest I ever got to. Now, I finally can.

I don't know if it's possible, but I've asked him to "tap" into me, to feel what I feel when I snowboard, so he can know finally what it felt like and why I love it so much. I hope so much that he can.

I miss you so much Athus. I'm doing a lot better now, but I still miss you, and I always will.
