He's 5.5 weeks now. We visited the breeder again yesterday, and will be bringing him home in 3 days - at which point I will be getting better photos, i.e. photos not taken with my iphone.
And that's Nick's hand again.

Like I said to someone else a moment ago: They're great pets! Kind of mid-range in terms of maintenance; less than a dog and more able to bond and be trained than rodents. They're kind of pricey though, because they have very specific needs, and they require a lot of research before getting one.
I was just watching a youtube vid about all the drawbacks of having a sugar glider as a pet, haha. I'd love to have one (or several) of those at some point .. and a snake, and of course a dog, and and and. Haha, my boyfriend and I are really animal people. There are just so many people out there who would be like "it's so cute!" and decide to get one based entirely on that, and those are the people who don't do the proper research, and either give the animal bad care or end up ditching them on craigslist or something because they didn't realize how much work/money/etc they'd have to put into it. Glad to know you're not one of those people! But that's why I automatically put a disclaimer whenever someone is like "I want one!" XD
SO are my fiance and I xD we want too many animals. We're very responsible though. I know, I hate that. I really do. It sickens and hurts me to think of that....v.v I dont even get a FISH without researching it's proper needs Lol. Oh no i totally understand xD I live nocturnally because of my job, so a sugar glider would be perfect for me.
A lot of them are pretty comfortable in that position. They roll up to protect themselves, so this position doesn't make them feel particularly vulnerable. He didn't stay in this pose for long, but that's because he was more interested in climbing all over us to explore. XD
Our breeder is very thorough about handling them several times a day, and also getting them used to being on their back and having their feet and ears touched. But yeah, it's like any animal, it depends on how they're raised and socialized and what their base personality is.
Thanks! The iphone's camera is pretty decent, but it was evening and since the lens is so small on it, it doesn't do as well with not-great-light. Also my Olympus would probably have a better time with countering the blur from all his wriggly movements. But this one (and a few others, about 8 of 30ish photos) came out really well!
