If you only knew..

If you only understood..

But no one can make silver from gold..

No one can make true what is untrue

I feel as if I've tried so hard

Sworn to be as loyal as a friend

As I could manage

I’ve faltered

I’ve failed

More than once

A fox is no man's mutt

But I look back..

On what you’ve given me

And see so little..

I cling on

I hide this gallery,

I hide these words from you

In a last ditch effort

To vent out my emotions

And hope it’s all just a mood swing.

And hope it’s all in my mind.

And hope, if I shut up,

That it’ll all be okay in the morning.

It isn’t

It hasn’t.

How many more will it take before I surrender?

I give up. I surrender. Let it happen. Leave me behind. This sand is holding me down. You’re walking, running, sprinting ahead just fine.

I’ll just accept things the way they are. The tree has been chopped and I doubt I want it to grow back anew, fear putting myself into the same position once more. Such fantasies I blinded myself with stupidly.
