Flushed out at the feet of the search team...
The water washes away stone and soil concealing a rich vein of gold or other valuables, or just flushes it out with the rest...
They think the baby's lost until Fifine reveals him (gender implied here but not confirmed) in her arms...
They think Fea Femmora is lost until she reveals herself from under a pile of debris...
...OR MAYBE Fifine, the baby, the miner, Fea, and the entire search party are overwhelmed by the water and carried all the way to the town square where they're deposited in a pile of muck and debris. The miner and Valentin work heroically to extract everyone, ending with Fea and then Fifine and the baby (who is revealed only when Fifine is rinsed off). The baby is announced as a girl (with two excellent examples to learn from). The miner and Valentin spot gold flecks in the debris, follow a thin trail of them (and the occasional nugget) back to the mine, where a rich vein of gold is discovered. The miner's daughter and grandson arrive and are reunited. For bonus points, the daughter and son are identified as known characters on good terms with Fifine, who is thanked for the reunion and helping "find" the gold.
