When I was young I used to have a little model of this plane...Soviet markings and white with skiis instead of wheels!

and yes, is very similar to the gee bee BUT is completly different and manoubrability! the "mosca" is VERY agile and responds inmediatly to the pilot wishes ^^

It is my favolite fighter of WWII (Also like I-15 I-152 and I-153).
It also fight with Japanese fighters ( 97 or Zero fighter )at an early stage of WWII in China
