My last convention photos with the inferior Mytouch 4g camera phone (I sold it). New years resolution: bring the canon camera from now on, to take these booth photos ;)
The space was so big, it took two photos to do it justice. We had an awesome corner (same one as for 2010), and had plenty of room to display everything properly.
Took a bit more engineering than normal, to brace the racks in place. My first go had the light rope pulling the one rack in, which is no good - don't want anything collapsing mid-show. The cross bar of wood is clamped on to a vertical riser, zip tied to the big chrome rack. I'll keep this in mind for the future, getting to the 7 foot high mark means folk can easily walk under it, and this is now possible with the 6 foot tall shelving.
We had a total of 3 tables to share for the setup, and neighbors wanted tables out of their setups, so I adopted some of them. Along the wall under the racks, those tables are half-tables the long way, so they only stuck out about 18 inches from the wall. This left plenty of walking room and made things look much more tidy.
Business wise, this was the second strongest convention ever for us, after the 2011 Anthrocon. My creditors were all happy to be paid on time, plus I was able to buy the last big machine my shop really wanted - the hand crank strap cutter.
All in all, a great experience, and I look forward to 2012 MFF!
