Well because its a russian submarine they may use electric motors on them when submerged making the only thing detectable by passive sonar systems the cavitation of the propeller, flow noise and other vibrations of the sub. Our subs are the best at counter detecting and avoiding detection. So needless to say US subs are the quietest.

Hah typhoons. Completely too large and makes way too much noise. Sea Wolf class or Virginia class for me mate. Sea wolfs are completely ridiculous. HY 120 steel plating, up to 55 knots under water without tearing itself apart, an extra 100 meters of sub space that is used for spec ops missions, plain and simply bad ass.

thats beacuse its a ballistic missile submarine, its not made as an attack sub, if i wanted an attack sub id go with the Akula up there, or one of the new Yasen's

I know but still I was just thinking more along the lines of which would sink first if we were at war. Aside from that I am going to be stationed on a ssgn in Washington hopefully. If not ssgn then a Triton class.

probibly wider, ive been in a alpha attack sub but no others except the USS swordfish

Oh yah SSGN and SSBN are much larger than fast attack. Enough so we don't have to hot rack. Its so large that we can even use the missile room as a track to run on lol.

Yah lol. Its a really scarey thought honestly. Russia recommissioning their massive nuclear missile submarines... it does not spell anything good at all.
