Well because its a russian submarine they may use electric motors on them when submerged making the only thing detectable by passive sonar systems the cavitation of the propeller, flow noise and other vibrations of the sub. Our subs are the best at counter detecting and avoiding detection. So needless to say US subs are the quietest.
Hah typhoons. Completely too large and makes way too much noise. Sea Wolf class or Virginia class for me mate. Sea wolfs are completely ridiculous. HY 120 steel plating, up to 55 knots under water without tearing itself apart, an extra 100 meters of sub space that is used for spec ops missions, plain and simply bad ass.
