And now, incoming rambling.
Kellagh here (actual name is Pintus, but being the rebellious youth that he is, he changed his own name to something more "fitting" ) is a Centaurdow, also called 'Kentarudow'. Note, however, that the average Kentarudow is wingless and its overall coloring is reminiscent of Earth horses*, give or take a few extra stripes and different body shape. Kellagh, you see, is what's commonly known as a Guardian Kentarudow, a very rare subspecies that is seen by the majority of the common Kentarudows to be a protector or 'superhero' of sorts to whatever herd they belong to (one could even go as far as to say they're a kind of Mura - see here - that never has to fight to find their place in the world, as theirs comes already built in the minute they hit puberty). As noted before, the big difference between a normal Kentarudow and a Guardian is the fact that Guardians are always born with wings and have rainbow-colored manes and tails. Guardians come in both genders, though males are the most common.
Another noteworthy thing about Kellagh here is that he's actually the son of an exceptionally old character named Stallion, also a Guardian, who also happens to be the one that inspired the species to begin with. Sadly he is in need of newer renditions. Seriously.
For a clearer, yet sketchier, version of this guy, go here.
*The lower torsos aren't all that equine-like despite the name, the front legs typically being longer than the back ones (which I might have failed to represent in the pic, but I digress). I admit the character "Motaro" from the Mortal Kombat series (3rd game, I think?) is a big influence, despite me not being *that* big a fan of the games...or at the very least, not a good player at all.
