For the few who are interested, this is what I drew for my dad as a Christmas present.

My original idea was to draw Film Noir, and in the creative process it sort of merged together with a bit of Lovecraftian themes.

When he first looked at it he just thought I had bought him a Tintin poster and gave me a polite "How neat" nod.
I had to tell him I made it myself to get him to start saying "wow" X3

I like the details in the picture and the mood of it, even though somewhere in the back of my head I realise that there should be some depth of field blur.
