*whistles "Oh, come, little children"*
This account is awfully quiet for months. This has several reasons, but besides my increasing duties for universities the Christmas season has been the most urgent one. Besides a huge project I did for my mum - I will post it later on - a new nativity scene was needed. The old one was our first attempt and, though we had been very proud of it, quite a mess with a bunker-like house and unpractical exterior.
This new one I call NS 2.0 reuses the olive tree and a palm we created for the first and some concepts like the authentic architecture, however we increased this authenticity with a porch at the left and more crumbling walls. It should look like this whole area was once a huge complex with an atrium, now decayed to a barn for Nomads and farmers from the near Bethlehem. On the right, a huge gate was closed with two lines of masonry, which are crumbling as well. The windows show the typical local sunblocks.
We intended to color the house furthermore, however it locked pretty noble and aesthetic in plain color, making contrast with the reddish sandy ground.
Merry Christmas folks!
