Finished black and turquoise raccoon tail for 
907foxx !
I love the way this one turned out, hopefully 907foxx does too!
I finally have a camera good enough that you can see some of the mottling I did to make it somewhat more realistic... at least, as realistic as a raccoon tail with turquoise stripes can get. As well as the black and blue there are shades of gray blended in both : 3 The blue is almost luminescent in some lights, which is a neat effect of the color.
Made out yarn, using the
Bir Method--no animals were harmed in the making of this tail!

You can look around for a tutorial. Bir is the user that came up with this particular tail method, and she was incredibly generous about sharing it with anyone who asked her about it. Unfortunately some people were downright mean to her about it and proceeded to share it without her permission (despite the fact that the SINGLE thing she asked was that people request the tutorial from her, and that otherwise it could be used however), so she no longer shares it : ( (Oh, FA, this is why we can't have nice things... *le sigh* )
