they have no names, but they are my twin greatblades that have been floating around in my head for pretty much my entire life
the greatblade on the right existed before the greatblade on the left
the one on the left is a dragon scale blade, given formed and inspired by the graphic novel series Dragon Hunter by Hong Seock Seo
forged from scales plucked from an elder far east red dragon (the actual name I am too busy to look up right this very instant) the blade is comprised of 13 individual scales held together by black steel (white and black steel are alloys of my own creation) fastenings.
the scale that makes up the hilt is an oversized one that also makes up the handle which has an ornamental dragons head carved into the pommel.
the entire greatblade from handle to tip is 190cm long, 150cm being the blade itself and the hilt scale and 40 centimeters making up the handle from the bottom of the hilt and ending in the ornamental dragons head pommel.
the handle is wrapped in cured salamander skin and treated in such a way as to make an excellent grip.
the one on the right is a buster blade, inspired and given form by, of course, none other than Cloud Strife's own buster sword, but nevertheless, this one is mine. This sword was created for the purpose of monster hunting, and by no means lacks in dragon slaying ability.
the actual blade is forged from purified adamantite and crushed diamonds. the tang and core of the blade are a mixture of white and black steel, the hilt is made of black steel and the handle of white steel.
the pommel is unique with it's chain link which allows the wielder to attach a chain to it giving the wielder the ability to use this greatblade not only as a sword but also as a flail or long range weapon while being able to retrieve it. the grip is wrapped in a cured and treated hide and doused in a slight amount of sap from some tree or other giving it an excellent amount of grip for the wielder.
the colour scheme for these blades is as follows:
dragon scale blade: blood crimson, grip bleach white
buster blade: blood crimson blade, hilt white, handle black, grip white
the current wielder of these twin blades is aJacks Varnish, who used the buster blade to slay the dragon in order to create the dragon blade
the scribbled words are notes I made while drawing these blades
if I missed anything, comment, thanks
