A random picture I drew one day of a shield mage. I was originally wanted to draw a picture of D. Dan's mother, but it was not going as i wanted. I therefore made it into something else. ^\/^.

A shield mage is basicially a mage that is adept and proficient in magic for defense. Such kinds of defense can include general magic shields in the front, force fields, wards, etc... to stop attacks from general weapons to offensive magic spells and curses.

They wear light to medium armor. the outfit shown here has a medium metal armor on the upper body. A clothed dress like outfit covers much of the upper body armor with only the neckline showing. The rest of the armor and its shoulder pads are covered.

Similarly the lower body armor is also covered by a second matching piece of clothed dress. Only the waist area shows with the rest of the hip and leg armor covered to the metal boots that are covered in leather and cloth.

The lower arms are long leather medium armor gloves with silk cloth covering them to match the dress. On the head is a magic diadem that is a standard issue for the mage.

On her arsenal is a long thin mage staff made of wood and encrusted with jewels and filigree on some parts. On the top is a smooth orb of crystal that her spells originate from. The shield in her other hand is not for battle but rather for display purposes and ceremony. On the front is the coat of arms of the shield mage regiment she works under.
