The Holy Christian Kingdom of North America is the post-Gene Wars polity that encompasses 12 states of what was the United States of America, as follows:
Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississipi, Alabama, Georgia. Each of these former states is represented by a cross in the blue canton, and the rule of God's law is symbolized by the crusader sword and the crown of thorns. The 13 red and white stripes symbolize that the HCKNA considers itself the true heir of the former United States.

This is pretty good; I think it symbolises the Kingdom well. I styled my attempt as a hybrid of the US flag, in that I used the proportions of the flag and canton, and flags of many British Commonwealth countries, which have the Union Jack in the canton, a dark blue background and a symbol of the country in the fly.
