It is cute, but cutest? Assuming that it wasn't a request by the commissioner and it was the artist and commissioner's intent to have a sprite done to be in the style of the show I ask these following questions.
Why is the horn so big? Its size seems a little off to me. Also, why are the hooves made in a manner that makes them look like a separate part of the leg? I know that anatomy would dictate this but the FiM universe anatomy is a little different on that fact.
Aside from that; Very cute, good use of shading, a very clean looking sprite that (aside from those two little things) seems to stick to the FiM style quite well, especially with the gradient in the eye giving it an extra little... how to put it, it makes it look a bit more lifelike if that makes any sense.
To clarify, I mean not to mock or jab at weak points, but to help you notice them and correct any sort of possible inaccuracies that prevent future works from being as good as they possibly could be.
On a less serious tone. HAIR, Y U NO PHYSICS? /YUNOface. Cuz that is one magic 'do'.

No problem, I don't think you're mocking me or anything. This is my first time drawing a pony so I do like hearing feedback and all.
The hooves thing I can explain right away. It looked better like this than when I kept it more like the show. I knew I was breaking away from the style a little bit, she was ok with that but next time I'll probably go more for like the show. I probably made the horn too big too, looking at it now it also seems to be a bit off center. I might even go back and fix that.
Thanks for the tips.

Thats a shock and relief! 9/10 persons in any sort of community attack me when I try to critique things like art or stories.
On the horn, it looks a good deal better in the adjusted version to me. A good amount smaller and it looks softer if that makes any sense, it doesn't stand out any more than the rest of her... May be the smallest bit low on her forehead, or the oodles of hair may be throwing me off on where her forehead is. Not a big thing at all though, makes her look more unique.
On the hooves... I dunno, I personally prefer the connected version. It may be that I'm so used to seeing them connected in the show that seeing them as a separate thing seems a bit odd to me though. Not certain. Both versions do work though. With the separate hooves, coloring and hair one could easily say shes a different breed than a typical unicorn and attribute that style of hooves to the breed.
Looking at your other works briefly I might add that your work is very nice. Everything you do seems to be shaded just perfectly, not overly shaded like some folk do, or one solid color, a perfect amount of shades that give it a more, authentic look. I have no doubt that your work could be used for actual games. I've tried to make sprites before, they come out looking pretty dumpy, you have a talent for it. =3

To show you what I mean, here she is with the connected hooves:

I also adjusted the horn to make it smaller and recenter it.
