shweet! I loves seeing foals! Hint, use your flash when shooting against the light. OR, you can use spot metering on the subject (with the cannons, it's the button withthe '*' on it.. line up the mare, press the *, then reframe and shoot. )

The cybershot camera has seen better days and it will only take 1 or 2 pictures before the battery dies. We tried a replacement pack but it does the same thing. That picture was taken with a Razr v3xxx so not many options there... hell not even a flash. On my wish list is a nice digital SLR. I am partial to the Cannons myself but the ones I looked at start in the 600 dollar range. Times are tough, hay prices are up so a new camera isnt high on the list. Maybe for christmas.

really a cutie; looks like it could fit on my palm. As for the camera, I own a Nikon D50, which is a 6.1 Mpixels DSLR entry-level and does very good pictures, it should be in your price rank including the two lenses pack.

Gotta love it when Mares suprise you with babies. My aunt's Appy did that, we didn't know she was preggy until she started to show signs of having milk. Then the baby was born on Christmas Eve... but sadly three days later the foal died... because the mare was blind and most likely stepped on her...

This mare never shows any signs.. she dosent even bag up the night before. Never has. Sorry about your baby. One horse we have had a blind mother. They hung a bell around his neck so she could find him.

Just beautiful, if a little small, unless that's normal for a later foal. Hope she grows up healthy :)

Well the mother is a shetland.. pretty much classified as a mini so yeah.. the daddy was a mini/shetland cross so yeah.. shes tiny.
