I have wanted to try clay modelling for a long time. I bought some cheap coloured clay this time last year to make some models I was going to use in a claymation, but it didn't work out. I'd tried to model the clay over a wire frame, but the clay would just fall off and it just ended up being really messy. SO I kinda gave up on the project.
AS year later, my creative juices are flowing again and I decided to try and make a small clay model of my fursona. It turned out really well, and it stayed together quite well. I decided not to use wire this time, and it definitely was the right choice.
I might end up getting some proper modelling clay to fire and paint, and might possibly start selling them. In the mean time, if anyone wants me to make a model of their fursona with the clay I've got and post photos of them, I'd be glad to, as a chance for me to practice.
Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated - please comment and let me know what you think. This will help me decide if I should keep going on with this!
