i do it in photoshop basically i do it in two layers the photograph being the first level then put my drawn image in the second layer and erase every thing around the drwan image being sure the edges are clean then merge the two laywers sometimes i have to reduce the photo or reduce or enlarge the drawing so they look in scale with each other
