So, I go to college at The New England Institute of Art. This semester I was in Color Theory, a class where we learn about, gasp, colors! One of our projects was to paint a 15x20" Example of color harmonies. (You may have seen this a lot in Andy Warhol's work.)
I chose to do my assignment on Tazz, our new Boston Terrier pup. It was kindof a dedication piece due to the fact 2 days after we got her, the poor thing broke her leg! You can see a pic of her here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/658115/ Hint: The top image is the one used to create this painting. ^^
This was done in all acrylic paints, and took me about 4 weeks to finish, as the thing is huge. (It hangs in our living room now. ^^) The photo was taken outside in natural light. If anyone has any tips on better ways to take photos of paintings, I would be MUCH obliged. This photo doesn't really do the painting justice, but it was the best I could produce.
So, I figure I should explain why the colors for each square were chosen for the people who don't know color harmony.
Sit back for a free lesson in colors! =D
