I did use a rl ref pic got from google so if you see a pic like it, i used it to ref. i am absolutely terrible with realistic stuff so i had no choice but to do so.
i hope it looks ok..im so bad with realistic n shading...ill never do her beauty justice.

This made me cry. I miss her so much as well. And I cry every time I wonder or ask myself if she forgives me... Dont cry... Again, Im sorry that you guys had to go through this too. But Im glad you loved her as she was your own :) Bah, I forgot to show you the carrier and you didn't take the bird gym with you! Well I can't wait till you get here so you can tell me how your birdie is doing and how she likes the treats I gave you. And we can visit more pet shops together too! <3
im glad you like it hun i wanted to try n get her colors just right but im no good with realistic or shading n whatnot.. lol in yeah we were all very close to her, no matter how long we knew her... *hugs* n my Kiwi still has to warm up to them. shes not used to those types of treats yet so she is kinda scared of them hahaha see you in a few days
I feel ya, Clem, it's been a rough year for pets. My neighbor lost his 18 year old chihuahua, just the day after Christmas. I definitely know that feeling, as so far in my life I've lost 2 rabbits, a black and tan coon hound, a jack russell terrier and a beagle/polmeranian mix. When they died, I felt like I lost a part of myself.
Wahine sounds like she was an amazing bird, one who brought happiness and good memories to everyone she was around.
As far as the art goes, I think Wahine would be proud. :3
