I didn't really have a direct idea when drawing this image, so your free to think of your own story for it. Has Calvin grown old and forgotten about poor old Hobbes? Maybe Calvin started playing violent video games and enhanced his vision of Hobbes, or maybe he upgraded to a bigger kitty!
Either way, something isn't right!

This is a very beautiful picture with wonderful composition that really speaks a lot of emotion, but one thing that you could've done better would probably be dimming down the texture a little bit.. I mean, it would be REALLY good if it was just a little less noticeable but the way it is now it distracts the viewer's attention and it seems to flow less. I'm talking specifically with Hobbe's fur on his face. Either way though, amazing piece! I''m impressed!
