Alright, I'm done biting my tongue here. There's a handful of you who need to check your fucking attitudes. You all know full well that both Tuckie and myself have puts tonsss of work into this over the past few weeks, this week in particular has been eat-sleep-work-this. You also knew that we had the preseason tournament for specifically THIS purpose, to work out the kinks before the games actually mattered. If something as miniscule as the roster not being updated before the simulation, you can just as easily say "I think something went wrong, I had different players starting than the ones reflected in the simulation", the way a respectable person does.
To the vast majority of you, thank you for bearing with us through this process, and we'll be sure to get it fixed right away.

For one I wasn't talking to you, what you had said originally was just fine. For two, no, it was because it ran the numbers used in each of the previous games, rather than the updated ones. Not realizing that the page needed to be refreshed is one of those simple errors that falls cracks. Negligence would be starting a season before a preseason rather than- and I'll say it again- having a preseason specifically for the reason of finding these errors!
Ok. What is the plan, now that several GM's are upset because of what happened because they feel that because of the failure to update the rosters could have effected the outcome of the game? Will the second round be redone or do you plan on pushing through the rest of the pre-season?
You make a valid point, Tuck. Preseason is the time to get everything worked out in time for when the games start counting for real. Just like with the players and the coaches, I know you guys are still ironing out the wrinkles on this sim, and I even threw in a suggestion as well. So I'm just gonna sit back, grin and bear it and hope that things will be worked out before the regular season starts.
Of course, it doesn't make being on the wrong end of a thumping like that any easier. Here's to hoping that the best team wins.

Sweet! Let's go Pioneers! Knows His Gun Tuomi and VanDerHoosen are really showing their talent in the pre-season! :D
As far as the drama about the kinks..think of the pre-season tournament in the same light as a beta test on a video game..it's to find the kinks and cracks in a new system (Just like the beta test phase of a game). Simply state what happened, and the commissioners will note it down and fix/deal with the issues as they arise. No biggie :)

Beino and Tuck have been busting their asses to make this league for all of us, in their spare time, on top of their day jobs, real lives, etc. They started this from the ground up--it's all new and untested, and they've been doing an amazing job of incorporating everyone's ideas and improving every aspect of the system. They run a pre-season exhibition tourney to test things and work out the bugs, and when a bug DOES occur some people freak the fuck out and start acting like spoiled children because their imaginary characters didn't get to play imaginary hockey in an imaginary league?
They're fixing the problem. What more do people want? So the line changes didn't take in an EXHIBITION/TEST game. So what. It's a game. An imaginary game that's supposed to be FUN. It's not the NHL.
I think Beino, Tuck, and the entire league deserve some support, encouragement, patience, understanding, respect, and praise for doing all this for us.
THANK YOU guys for working so hard to make this league for us, and for handling our constant barrage of questions, ideas, changes, and so much more. You guys are doing an awesome job!
