kaevon looked at the gift that was under the tree for him. It was a rather odd shape, and not one he had expected from the kitten. Somewhat cautiously he pressed a paw down on the end of the paper and pulled at it to tear the wrapping open. Inside was a shiny red colored stone, one that was almost cut into the shape of a heart.

A ruby? Wait, this wasn’t any ruby. He had seen this one before…. What was it called. A fire ruby. Oh it was just like in that episode of-

Kaevon blinked a few times, why was he suddenly standing on two legs, and where were his wings and why did he feel smaller and....

Looking down at the gemstone on the floor he could see his reflection in it. Oh, that's what the kitten was up to.
