The day that grownups tried to explain to me that there was no Santa.

"Think about it, how can one man deliver presents to children all over the world in one night? - Time zones. - Exac...wait. What? - It isn't night time everywhere on earth at the same time, because the earth is round, so if you think about it, if you follow the rotation of the earth, it will stay night time for 24 hours strait, that's lots of time. - *long pause*... Okaaaaaay.. but how can one man deliver presents to every child, even if he has 24 hours to do it? - Well it isn't every child, it is just the children who believe in him. Not everyone celebrates Christmas. - ................ fine, how can he fly then - reindeer, duhhhh"

Seeing the cigarette dangling from the "Jolly Old Saint's" lip reminded me of the ads in the early 1960s where Santa was shown smoking a certain brand that was more associated with Rugged Cowboys. My, how things have changed. (I'll stick with the Cola ads though.)
