Ciara's found a new friend! But you've got to watch out for those butterflies. If you listen to them, there's no telling what sort of trouble you might find yourself in.

I'd kind of wondered what a feral version of Ciara might look like for quite a while. Something I'd thought of getting done, which I may still commission sometime, was a picture of both Ciara and Niamh, as feral animals, cuddled up to each other. You're right, though, that sometimes feral version don't work too well, and I kind of wondered if Ciara would be one of those. But the artist kind of specializes in cute animals like this, rather than regular anthros, so I thought if anyone could get it right she could. *Grins* I like her little tongue poking out, too.
As for the title, it's more or less a direct quote from The Last Unicorn, and is something the butterfly in that story says to the unicorn when he tells her what happened to the rest of her kind. I stole it for this picture because there was a time, not really all that long ago, when swift foxes were nearly made extinct in the United States, and they did become extinct in their Canadian ranges. So I was kind of toying with the idea of the unicorn's search for her people being paralleled with a little swift fox kit's search for her kind.

Ooh, a feral Ciara! I like feral characters as a rule, partly since way back in the early days my own character was mostly zoomorphic. (I don't actually remember the word "feral" being used back then, but I may just have missed it.) Very cute, especially with that sticking-out tongue. =:)
I've always liked them, too, as it happens. For all that I tend to lean more toward the anthro side of things with my own characters, many of the first animal characters I was fond of were more on the talking animals end of the scale. I couldn't resist seeing what Ciara looked like as a regular fox at least once, and she's just adorable.
