An oldie, but still by far one of my Favorites. This was a commission from a person who was a high bidder on one of my hippogryphs in another contest (Tricked Out Pony contest). She wanted another hippogryph, and this is what her design was.
He has been repositioned, and his wings are hand sculpted. I'm surrently working on a companion piece (his mate, of course!) to go with him.

me personally? I usually use an exacto knife and candle. But I thing customizers usually use a heat gun or boiling water.
Using Sculpy...you can, but I don't recommend it. You have to heatset it, which involves boiling, oven, or candle, and it breaks easily. I use ApoxieSculpt. Expensive stuff, but well worth it.
