A Variable Called X.
Dancing each moment, the tip tap alas echoes burden the soft echoing of the marble counter floor
Down here in the dungeons I hear the rap at tat tat of shoes lingering around the wooden framed door
Down here tied to the solid cold bedrocks of this terrible place, I do weep.
Drinking the water from the ceiling, from some unwilled keep,
Someday I’ll break these cold darn shackles on my feet paws and just fly away.
Someone somewhere will see this dragon’s true scale, and want to meet me someday.
Somewhere beyond the racket and noise lies green grass for me to chew.
Somewhere beyond these stone walls lies the prey in which to slew.
When that day arose my master was no match, he simply gave up, the little weak slug
When he had tormented me for long enough and I never even got a single hug.
HIs tears brought me great joy, for he had taken me when I was on a cub.
With a loud rawer and a breather of fire “Listen here bub?”
You brought this amongst the people who will now live in fear.
You thought them not to hide or take anything away, at all.
You showed them the surface of shiny gear.
Yet you’re the one with the secrets and not a single bit could you do at t’all
Take this warning for the future of satin silken haunted nightmares’, which you will have.
You’ll never silence a dragon’s call. What you cannot have Is what you never gave.
