[Artist: Yup, I haven't seen a play yet, unless you count boring high school ones. What I'd love to see is the disney musicals Little mermaid and Lion King. ]

I dislike Shakespeare and the plays. I haven't actually seen one in person but I've seen parts and it just isn't for me personally. I know you may say I need to actually watch it full before deciding, but sometimes you just know that it isn't your style.
Plays in general I'm kinda eh about. I prefer musicals.

I like musicals but never saw one live actually (well high school version of Grease but no one needs to see that live). I brought my friend to Hamlet and she hates shakespeare, never understood it, and loved the play but it may have helped there were proper actors in a small chruch with an auidence of 30 or 40 so very intiment.
I only suggested Hamlet because you mentioned The Lion King which is basically Hamlet with felines.

I appreciate it, but sorry, really not something I'd like ^^;
I'm actually like that a lot. I like specific things, not genres. A lot of people will tell me "you like this song, so youll like this one". Nop, I like any genre, but I'll dislike or like specific songs for no real reason I can pinpoint, since I'll dislike music that is almost the same.

Hope you don't mind me butting in here, but I can't really blame you. I really like Shakespeare's plays myself, but some of them can be really hard to get into, and it takes a special cast to really pull them off. Which isn't to try to make myself sound superior to you or anything like that! I was actually rather indifferent to his work, too, until I fell in love with Sir Lawrence Olivier's performance of Richard III. He's the only one who has ever really made Hamlet convincing as a character, too, though I have to say that I don't think Hamlet is Shakespeare's best work.
All that said, if you can get to any play I'd recommend you go at least once. It doesn't matter what it is, Shakespeare or a Disney musical, there's nothing quite like the experience of seeing actors on a stage and knowing they're right there, alive, in front of you. It lets you get wrapped up in the story in a way that seeing it on a screen just can't match.
