why are you comparing a single player experience with an online, unmodded multiplayer experience?

Because not everyone plays online, and because single player offline experiences make for most of hte games out there.

Also, this is just some guy as a kid and as an adult just playing games on his own.

You mean like... Sonic Shuffle? When I first go that game I was about ready to throw the system out a window because the computer obviously was programmed to cheat. You could take other players' movement cards if you wanted to and the computer would immediately go to your pile and choose the proper number they needed to move even if it was a new card that nobody had even seen.

Yeah, sure, though I never played Shuffle, haha.
