The lion found only a small box of a gift was all hat his brother had gotten him this year. It looked lonely sitting under such a large tree. He picked it up, ripping the wrapping paper off to reveal a white box. Inside, was a small red and white ball. A pokeball?

Was there something inside it? Maybe he was going to be a trainer now?

He worked the ball trying to open it, but no pokemon was coming out. That was weird, what was wrong with it? He pressed down on the button in the center, and suddenly was surprised to find the ball release a flash of light and

The ball was slightly bigger? Was that all? That was, kind of boring. Of course, little Well at least he tried, that's what counts.

Little did the small riolu know that the ball had done a lot more than just flash a light, and it hadn't grown larger at all. He'd find out soon enough, there were plenty of mirrors in the house.
