I really don't mind the turn it's taken, myself. I wouldn't describe it as "teenage romance drama", either; it's more about the struggle of a young raccoon trying to deal with these issues (for lack of a better word) he's facing, and the problems they cause.

I'm also sure it'll actually turn into fetish porn again soon. And I won't mind that, either. :) But for now, I'm really enjoying the depth and background that keep getting added and that make the characters actual characters, people with their own personalities and histories and wishes and needs and desires.

Dennis isn't some maniac. You didn't drop him like a stone after he sucked you off. You had a frickin' spasm and ran from his house and all the way home in the bloody nude. Clearly something was wrong.

Maybe he should have slapped you though.

Perhaps he was too stunned to have a reaction consisting of anything other than a "what... YOU?" and a door-slamming, too.

Then again, how long ago did the whole incident take place? Based on the interim events, I'd wager a guess it's been at least a couple of months, so his initial anger'll have had time to dissipate - and he'll have been thinking about what happened. As  salkafar says, something *clearly* was wrong, and although that wasn't on his mind when he opened the door and saw you, he then realized that you weren't intending to hurt him, hadn't intended so back then, and that he was curious about talking the whole thing out, so he came running after you after all.

And who knows, maybe he harbours hope that the two of you will be able to go back to what you had before the incident, too.

Look at his hair. I say it was six months: they fell in love in the spring, and now it's, well, December.

Oh, right! Leave it to me to not pay attention to details again.

My advice is don't try - just go where the story is pointing you. You're doing just fine on your own.

I've been enjoying the depth of personality this story has taken, this is my second re-read and the first part of sex/humour is nice, but this backstory really rounds out the story.

Reading this comic has got me wanting to write some stories myself, only recently have I been close to Haal and Ristin.
Just yesterday I actually considered making a story that sided to this (and discussed it with Ristin), since I'm close with Haal and starting to feel closer to Ristin, but I'm not even sure of the details or how my character would know the rat and coon in this story's universe.
Would he know of the rat and coon before Ristin had ran off from the rat, who he know of Ristin's trauma (I would think not, seems Ristin only told very few) or did he met the rat before the coon (like I did in reality)?

Another idea is I have one character met the rat as he is searching for the coon, and another character meeting with the stumpy coon in the lab- but I'm not really sure on that second part of the idea, I don't wanna write myself into the situation alongside Stumpy, especially with this comic still an ongoing project.

Then again, I might just fall out of the idea altogether if it feels to big- I want to make some sort of story though be it related to this series or not. Either way I look forward to reading more, this series intrigues me.
